In Ayurveda the most important consideration while diagnosing a patient is to find out the root cause responsible for a particular disease or the poor quality of life.

The beauty of Ayurveda is that it does not focus only on treating the disease but aims to increase the life energy by purifying the system. Life energy is our immunity, our real health, our peace.

Ayurveda diagnosis is mainly based on:

  • History of patient.
  • Examination of the patient.

History of patient:

This includes the history of the present illness, past illness , family history and personal history.

Examination of the Patient:

Ayurvedic Examination: This includes an examination of:

The pulse (Naadi Pariksha), Tongue, Marma points (special energy points), Gait (bodily movement), General appearance of the patient, Energy levels, Aura (life energy), Agni (digestive fire), Constitution (Prakriti, body type), Breath Movements and Chakras.

Systemic Examination: This includes an examination of:

Digestive System, Respiratory System, Heart and Circulatory System, Nervous System, Urinary System, Musculoskeletal System, Reproductive System etc.
